How to Use Define List Creator

The Define List Creator helps you build clean, structured define lists fast. It auto-generates row labels, keeps group labels aligned, supports StyleVar columns, and lets you copy or save the final output. You can also trigger output instantly with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Cmd + Enter.

Step 1: Define Basic Labels

Enter your Define List Label (e.g., myList), set the Label Prefix (default: r), and choose the Row Start. Labels are created sequentially (r1, r2, r3 …) based on your start value.

You can edit any label directly; the editor keeps numbering consistent as you add more rows.

Step 2: Enter Data
  • Row Options – list your items (one per row). Labels appear live on the left.
  • Group – define the group label for each row.
  • Group Names – assign friendly names to each unique group.

Use Clear to reset any box. Paste multi-line values to fill rows quickly.

Step 3: Create & Export

Click Create Define List or press Ctrl/Cmd + Enter to generate the output. Add or remove StyleVar columns as needed, or import from a file to prefill data.

Use Copy to grab the output instantly, or Save to download it as a file.
